The London School of Economics and Political Science, King’s College London and Queen Mary University of London will run a one-day joint training event for 100 PhD and early career researchers on Thursday 4th September 2014. Discovering Open Practices for PGR and Early Career Researchers will cover the benefits of practicing open research early in an academic career including open access to research, data sharing, research data management and impact metrics.

The event will include keynote speakers, including Joe McArthur (Assistant Director of the Right to Research Coalition) in the morning, followed by three practical afternoon workshops. We’ll close the day with talks from three student open advocates, who will share their experiences of open research.
