In Slovenia, collaboration of librarians and researchers is very evident and efficient in the field of bibliographic handling. From 2006, the Slovene Research Agency (ARRS) has been supporting research data curation within the research evaluation system of bibliographic records. Since then, The Central Social Sciences Library has been collaborating with the Social Sciences Data Archive on research metadata conversion into the Slovene Co-operative Online Bibliographic System and Services (COBISS). Trends and researchers' expectations for data management support however call for a re-skilling of librarians, policy and strategies development and additional financial support.
