10.35–12.00 EC/OpenAIRE FP7 Post-Grant Open Access Pilot and Open Access policies

  • Speaker: Pablo de Castro, Open Access Project Officer at the Association of European Research Libraries (LIBER).
    The talk will introduce the FP7 Post-Grant Open Access Pilot recently launched by the European Commission to fund the Open Access publishing fees of articles and books arising from finished FP7 projects and currently being implemented by the OpenAIRE project, https://www.openaire.eu/postgrantoapilot. The EC Open Access policy context will be examined both for the FP7 and the H2020 programmes together with the increasing level of policy alignment across countries. Finally, some considerations will be shared on the status of the Open Access infrastructure required to support a national-level Open Access policy.
