Across Europe the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) framework is gaining momentum in research planning and development as a strategy for aligning scientific and technological progress with socially desirable and acceptable ends. Nevertheless, a significant gap separates theoretical reflections and concepts from their applications in research practice.

This online course is a response to RRI's increasing relevance in the academic community, providing an introduction to the theory and practice of this new framework, and offering critical reflection to contribute towards bridging the gap between the conceptualization and operationalization of RRI.
