All of the key aspects of dealing with open data – from political, legal and organisational considerations to best practices in collecting, re-using and publishing research data – were pinpointed at the conference Connecting Data for Research, which was held at VU University Amsterdam on October 19th. There were more than 20 speakers, most of them researchers who shared their experiences in data collection and dissemination. The conference was organised by VU University, the University of Amsterdam, Leiden University, Radboud University, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, SURF and DANS, and sponsored by Foster and OpenAIRE.
