Study on the legal framework of text and data mining (TDM)

This study was aimed at several legal aspects of text and data mining. Aspects addressed are: establishing a working definition of 'text and data mining', acts and corresponding rights that could be relevant, rules on copyright & databases' sui generis right, exceptions, legal positions of stakeholders and the need for legislative changes.
