Open Science research infrastructures and services for the scientific community 

Joint effort of Science Department and Library of the University of Latvia and NOAD-Latvia within the OpenAIRE-Advance Latvia project has resulted in the national event – workshop session “Research infrastructures and services: Open Science Practice”. It will take place on November 5th, 2019 at the University of Latvia, Humanities and Social Sciences Centre in the city centre at 4 Kalpaka Boulevard. 

Target audience of this workshop is personnel of higher education institutions of Latvia and scientific institutes, researchers, PhD students, research project managers and coordinators, research policy administrative personnel, repository managers, information specialists and librarians.  

Workshop covers research infrastructures and services matters within the Open Science practices. Speakers will give valuable information on EOSC connecting European research infrastructures, role of Latvia in the EOSC Nordic project, OpenAIRE research services and persistent identifiers (ORCID).

Invited speakers:  Milica Ševkušić  (Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA, Serbia); Lauris Cikovskis (Head of Riga Technical University (RTU) High Performance Computing (HPC) Centre, Latvia);  Alessia Bardi  (Networked Multimedia Information Systems (NeMIS) lab, Institute of Information Science and Technologies at the Italian National Research Council (ISTI-CNR), Italy);  Ivo Wijnbergen  (EMEA Engagement ORCID, Netherlands).
