Open access results from the scientific community efforts to make scientific information
available, widely accessible and visible to the world.
Currently, research is based on an intense dialogue. A more comprehensive and widespread access to publications and scientific data will help:
- Accelerate innovation (faster on arrival to the market = faster growth);
- Promote collaboration and avoid duplication of efforts (efficiency);
- Benefit from the results of previous research (better quality of results);
- Engage citizens and society (greater transparency of the scientific process).
