The RCAAP mission is to promote, support and facilitate the adoption of open access to scientific knowledge in Portugal. This mission is materialized on the following objectives:
- Increase the visibility, accessibility and dissemination of results of academic activity and Portuguese scientific research;
- Facilitate the management and access to information about the national scientific production;
- Integrate Portugal a number of international initiatives.
