Introduction to Research Data Management

This session will provide an overview of the research data management landscape in the UK. The talk will introduce research data management and curation concepts, discuss the range of activities and possible roles that should be involved, and highlight tools and resources that can assist with curation activities. By the end of the session participants will have a better understanding of:

- UK funders' requirements for data management and sharing

- how research data management and curation can facilitate data sharing and help to increase citations

- data management plans and how to go about completing one

- some of the free resources and tools available.
