In my talk I highlighted business models of conventional scientific publishers and contrasted them with mission-driven publishers such as a University Press focussing on Open Access. The material was used in a training for librarians willing to learn about library-based publishing services. Our aim was to sharpen librarian's awareness on how to handle a largely dysfunctional commercial market for scholarly content, what remedies could or should be taken up and what role library publishing can play.
